The Town of Erie began celebrating Independence Day on July 3 more than 20 years ago. The festivities have varied, and changed over time. From parades to concerts, speeches and baseball games to pie eating and pageants. But one thing will never change; a celebration among friends under a sky illuminated by fireworks.
This year, The Town of Erie is rewinding the Independence Day celebration.
We invite you to bring a blanket, and perhaps a picnic, and find the perfect spot. After dusk a fireworks show will delight you from Vista Ridge. Great locations include: Columbine Mine Park, the Vista Ridge Clubhouse, and viewers are welcome on the driving range (after 5 p.m.).
The Town has listened to you! And, is re-visioning this event. We invite you to relax, and unwind, on this, the 3rd of July, to celebrate our nation’s independence Back to Basics style!
